Welcome to The Corner School. 

It is a privilege to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of The Corner School, now proudly part of The Mulberry Bush Charity. I have had the honour of leading the education team at The Mulberry Bush School since 2019, a nationally recognised therapeutic community supporting children with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. I am delighted to bring this experience to The Corner School as we begin an exciting new chapter together. 

At The Corner School, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and valued. Our mission is to support children who have experienced adversity by enabling change from within, through a therapeutic approach to education and a nurturing and stimulating environment where they can thrive emotionally, socially and academically. We are committed to providing a space where curiosity is encouraged, voices are heard, and success is celebrated. 

Now under the stewardship of The Mulberry Bush Charity, The Corner School is developing its trauma-informed, relational approach. This means  we aim to support staff to work therapeutically with children and families to build trust, foster resilience, and support healing. Our ethos is shaped by the belief that children communicate their feelings through their behaviour, and that through reflection, empathy and consistency, we can help children make sense of their experiences and move forward with confidence. 

We are proud to be a small, specialist primary school with a big heart. With a dedicated team of professionals, we offer personalised learning and care for each child, ensuring they feel safe to take risks, express themselves, and grow.
